Welcome to Beauxbatons Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité
Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons is the only magical school in France for witches and wizards. And one of the best at that. With a history going back over a thousand years, Beauxbatons is most defiantly a favourite for the younger generation. Ever since it was opened, the school has been for both genders despite some people calling it a female school.
This year promises new students, teachers, classes and much, much more! Quidditch, homework and house rivalry is just a tiny fraction of what goes on behinds Beauxbatons closed doors.

Being quiet was not exactly one of Kerry's most greatest achievements; she doubted she would ever be quiet. Her mother had often asked her to quieten down and just be a normal kid. She might act slightly normal at home, but at school it was a different story. The reign of terror was never over until Kerry was out of school or sleeping. Or just not around anyone who got scared easily.
Something had irritated her; but she had no idea what. That was why when she stalked in from dinner that evening, several people literally changed direction so they wouldn't have to pass her. She was in that much of a mood. When she was like that, if someone simply nudged her she could then lose it and curse the offender like there was no tomorrow. She really needed to kerb her temper; yet being surrounded by moron's as she put it never helped.
Kez stormed through the common room, plunging herself into the warmest chair by the fire. Even if that did mean throwing a 2nd year from the chair first. She wasn't a nice person at all. She threw her bag down beside her, and making sure she hadn't lost any contents from her bag, she pulled out her wand from within her robes. Unfortunately she hadn't had any time since school had ended to change out of the light blue robes that every student had to wear. At least she wasn't wearing the stupid hat - something that wasn't mandatory to wear yet you had to have it with you at all times.
She waved her warm, and the flames leaped up a few more centimeters much to the displeasure of the people sitting closest to the fire. Instead of reacting she ignored their dirty looks; especially good for them as she wasn't in an alright mood already. Leaning back in the chair, she placed her wand on her lap and closed her eyes, trying to figure out why she was so irritated.
And it didn't take her long to figure out why. She'd passed someone she'd disliked with a passion on the way to dinner ... and you can probably guess who.

Looking Down The Barrel Of A Forty Five ll
Blonde hair was flicked over the shoulder of a certain fifth year as she walked up the corridor, heels clicking on the floor. Claire Iowyn Petrelli wasn't your average Fifteen year old. She might be at home, her fathers little angel, but at school, she was a famous indecisive. She didn't choose sides, while most people where thinking what their friends would do, Claire was thinking about what not to do next. Her bright eyes watched down the hall as she walked. She wasn't really in a hurry to get anywhere and her cheerful disposition was keeping her awake. Dinner had been fine, so there was nothing to stop her going back, but she just wasn't hungry. She never felt that hungry any more and she didn't know why, just wasn't.
Claire stopped on the third floor, looking out of one of the windows. The soft patter of rain never got into the castle, even if there wasn't any glass in the window. Some charm or another. Not that rain would do any harm. They still hadn't put a charm on to kept out the cold, though. Her blond hair fell over her shoulders as she lent on the window sill. The wind was blowing in, making it just a bit chilly. She sighed. There was just something egging at the back of her mind, showing her what was annoying her. Kerry Freeman.
Lancing around like she owned the ground she stepped on. Her mother might be Minister for Magic, but she seemed to think that gave her priority. She was nasty piece of work. Slimey and slippery and she had to be in Claire's house. Like destiny wanted them to fight. And fight they did. A lot. Shouting, growling, snarling, cursing. She'd discovered more charms and defensive curses to last her a lifetime. It would work against everyone. To be truthful she was in a rather dangerous position, not choosing sides. Danger from the Death Eaters, danger from the Order. But this is how she liked it. Living on the edge, made everything more fun. She could never be an office clerk like her father, but took after her Uncle, the field agent. Someone to just be outside.
Her long, elegant, high-heeled stride, made her way along the Third floor corridor, heading for the staircase. Might as well get to the commen room before the rush after dinner. Her long hair flapped behind her back as she jogged up the stairs. She didn't turn at the fox-whistle, but smiled slightly, raising her head slightly. Ahh to be noticed, nothing wrong with that, is there? She made her way along the corridor, to the commen room. She entered with the muttering of the password and walked through, brushing her hair back from her face. The commen room was pretty empty, only one or two younger pupils, and the face of one she hated. Claire could never resist the urge for fun. She walked over, taking a seat by the fire. "Enjoying the Evening, Freeman?" She asked, crossing one leg over the other.

Kerry's eyes were still closed as her head was resting on the back of the chair. She was growing angry with every passing second; about Claire of course. Since passing her before dinner, she'd grown extremely angry for some unknown reason. Maybe just passing the person she despised so much was the reason her b!ood boiled. But then again, probably not. Claire was just a complete nuisance to Kerry - she always seemed to dodge between sides, avoiding those that could cause her serious damage. She reminded Kez of a weasel, and thats not a very nice thing to be reminded of.
Typically the fates were obviously working against her today, as a painstakingly yet familiar voice sounded from near her. She didn't even have to open her heavily outlined eyes to see who that particular voice belonged too. 'Look what the cat dragged in,' she said dryly, 'I must remind mum's cat not to bring in 100% filth,' with them words done, she finally lifted her head up and opened her eyes to look straight at Claire.
Gah, this was not her night.
'And in answer to your question, Petrelli, I was fine until I heard your extremely annoying voice,' she comment with a sarcastic smile which showed off her whitened teeth. Some said her teeth reminded them of a animal that looked and acted dangerous. Or something like that, she could never remember what. She yawned slightly, debating coolly inside her head whether she felt like having a duel tonight. On one hand she could let Claire, her greatest enemy, walk away unharmed and on the other hand she could cause her some serious damage. No guessing what Kez picked.
Kerry repositioned herself on the chair, moving slightly so she could have a clear view of Claire. She crossed her legs, and after tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear she rolled her wand slightly closer to where her other hand lay, on her lap. Ree's long, dark hair was as threatening as ever. Throughout the day it had remained silky too the touch, and even now in the evening it looked as amazing as it had done in the morning.
Her light blue eyes looked over Claire, taking in her enemies appearance. She was never one to judge people by what clothes they wore (to be honest that could be debatable) but when it came to Claire's turn she changed her views. She resisted the urge to say some smart-ass comment which she knew could easily back fire on her. At times Kerry had to be careful about what she said, because if any word of her behaviour reached her parents ears she was seriously done for.
'So how are you enjoying your evening then?' she asked politely, traces of sarcasm ing in her speech. She could never help but be sarcastic around Claire; another bad habit she had yet to get rid of. Waiting for her answer, she started to twirl her wand, in her lap, between her fingers.

'Look what the cat dragged in,'
Claire smiled, brushing back her hair. The cat? A sly, beautiful creature. Not exactly an insult. Freeman had probably wanted it or even intended it to be an insult, but hadn't quite managed it yet. Claire didn't take insults as insults, they were just words to her. Words had no effect, unless they were a spell, and Freeman hadn't touched her wand, yet. Not a problem if she did. Petrelli and Freeman had been fighting since before Claire was born. Her father, Nathan, had always had something against the French Ministry, that might just've been because it was a rival ministry, but he didn't like the Minister herself much, never had. He had been releaved when he'd found out Claire and Kerry weren't exactly good friends. Good thing really. Enemy with the father, enemy with the daughter. Now there was just Jayden, he worked for the Minister and didn't seem not to like her. Nathan would give him a good shouting at next time he came home to Bolsana, probably disown him or something. But, Claire was sure, Jayden could look after themselves, Petrelli's could.
'I must remind mum's cat not to bring in 100% filth,'
This time, Claire raised a thin eyebrow. "You've used the cat insult twice, it looses its effect after the first time, if the first time counted as an insult, you really should find some new ones, Freeman." She advised, her bright eyes watching the flames dance in the grate. Correcting and advising people on things like insults and grammer was usually the best way to annoy them. No-one likes to be corrected, especially if there was rivalry going on. Fun for the one correcting though. Like an interregation technique, correct everything and they get annoyed. Tell you what you wish to know.
'And in answer to your question, Petrelli, I was fine until I heard your extremely annoying voice,'
"Oh charming." Claire replied with a smile. "Well, just be lucky you weren't disterbed by something like your own voice, how do you live with such a whining noise in your head all the time?" She asked, leaning forward in her chair. Her eyes bored into Freeman's own, blinking freely. She didn't really go in for staring. She might go in for interrigation, but staring was not a technique. She just watched. You didn't need to stare to watch. If you stared, they held eyecontact with you and if you broke contact, they laughed at you. So Claire didn't stare, she watched intently, which usually unnerved people of a certain standard. She wasn't trying to unnerve Kerry, just watching her with the sarcastic air of the really uncaring.
'So how are you enjoying your evening then?'
Claire smiled, leaning back in her chair and crossing her legs once more. "Perfectly well, thank-you." She replied, not a hint of sarcasm and the complete truth. Nothing had dampened her mood yet, a fight would only engage it more. It was always fun fighting with Kerry. She was more of the hands on cursing, Claire had honed in on her defense and could usually stand out an attack. That was of course only on traditional spells, but was she really going to use anything illegal? Did she know anything illigal? She had noticed Kerry's wand, but didn't feel the need to bring out hers, not yet anyway. She watched with the laid back look of someone who's listening but not very carefully and just not really caring enough about what the other person was saying.

Kerry resisted the urge to roll her eyes at Claire; becoming slightly bothered that Claire had dared to interrupt her. She could sense that before the hour had passed they'd be in a fight. Like Claire's father and her own father had been arguing and been rivals way before her father had met her mother. From what Kez had gathered the Petrelli's had h.ated the Freemans for years, and vice versa. Sienna - Kez's mother - had decided to keep out of the family feuds but was still despised anyway. And unfortunately for Sienna, her daughter had chosen to do the complete opposite and start the family feud off again. What made the whole situation so interesting was that Claire's Uncle was actually Sienna's secretary and got on well with her.
You've used the cat insult twice, it looses its effect after the first time, if the first time counted as an insult, you really should find some new ones, Freeman.
Kerry did a mock yawn and replied just as sarcastically as before; 'I really don't want to waste some good insults on you. If I did, I don't think you'd be sitting there so calmly like that,' a sly smile appeared on her face. Once this conversation was over Kerry doubted either of them would be calm. This happened every time the two met, yet this time Kez was not the one that had started it. Claire had started to talk too her first; so anything that happened would be Claire's fault.
Oh charming. Well, just be lucky you weren't disterbed by something like your own voice, how do you live with such a whining noise in your head all the time?
'The same way I have to live with you,' she retorted with a "i.nnocent but d.eadly" smile. She knew for a fact her voice was not whiny. Geez, if they were getting into that Claire was the one with the whiny voice where Kerry was concerned. Kerry ran a hand through her straight hair and tucked it behind her ear. She returned Claire's "intent watching" without feeling the need to look away. Heck, she rarely blinked. Kez was not one to be put down by looks and stares. The only way she could be put down was when a binding spell hit her. Literally.
Perfectly well, thank-you.
Kerry was getting bored - Claire had not made this conversation interesting enough so far to make Kerry want to have a duel with her or continue with the meaningless insults the two were throwing at each other. In fact, Kerry just wanted to abuse her prefect powers and go ize some younger kids, Claire was that boring. Or just see if Ivori or any other DE's were about. Life was a hell of a lot more interesting when there was Order and DE members in the same room.

'I really don't want to waste some good insults on you. If I did, I don't think you'd be sitting there so calmly like that,'
Claire raised an eyebrow. Good insults. This was like a tennis match, throwing insults at each other. If spectators had been present thier heads would be switching backwards and forwards like a spectator at winbledon. Except at wimbledon there'd be a lot more Strawberries and Cream. Oh how very british. Claire herself had never been to the United Kingdom. She'd lived in Italy all her life until she recieved the letter from Beauxbaton. Then she'd just gone to France. The two places she'd been in her life, country-wise. Italy and France. She didn't exactly prefer either of them. Okay, she liked Italy a little more, she was born there. It was her homeland. Her whole family came from there, her mother as an exception. Jayden and Nathan were both Italians born and bred, each with an inate gift for languages. She had inherrited that gift. She'd learnt English whilst she was at home, French at Beauxbaton and Spanish, she'd just picked it up. She wasn't fluent in Portugese, but she was passable. However, she hated latin, really loathed it. Who knew why, she just did.
'The same way I have to live with you,'
Claire smiled, brushing a loose lock of hair behind her ear. No, she wasn't going to sink as low as to retalliate. Long ago, years one and two, she would've. Snarled back with a different gritty comment, but now, no. Soft, subtle and delicatr was her way. She was far from actually being evil like Kerry Freeman herself, but was wasn't going to go as far to say she was good. Like the Order. No way. She was a waverer. When things went her way she could be a downright cow, when not she could be a young angel. A dangerous enemy to have, under any circumstances. A small, innocent smile stole across Claire's features. "How are your parents, Freeman?" She asked, resting her hands in her lap. Her wand had appeared from one of his pockets and was now lying across the top of her hands, glowing the pale blue it always did when Claire was feeling cheerful. If cheerful myschiefous. A little charm she'd found where her wand just glowed, changing acording to her mood. "Not ill are they, all perfectly...safe?" She finished, holding eyecontact for the last word. Oh that last word had knives in it, icy and bitter and it was probably a bit cruel. She shouldn't really be telling Kerry this, well not telling but hinting anyway. But she wouldn't guess.
Claire stood up, brushing down her jeans. Her wand was still held in her hand as she brushed her hair back from her face. She was pushing it now, but it was just so much fun. "I only ask out of interest." She continued, looking down into the flickering flames. "My father just mentioned them last time he wrote. Maybe its nothing. When was the last time you heard from your family, Kerry?" She asked, turned towards Kerry, her eyes showing half concern, half glittering with evil myschief. Oh this was going to be fun.

Kerry really could not be bothered to continue this petty argument any longer - especially as Claire was doing nothing. Now she thought about it, it seemed like Kerry was always the one to start, and mostly finish, the arguments in the first place. She could say so many insults in one minute; yet Claire never retaliated. That irritated Kezzy more than anything, when the person you were arguing with stayed impossibly calm. Kerry was far from calm, although she might show calmness on the outside, on the inside she was anything but.
Kerry had grown up in France; like her mother before her. She had been to England on countless occasions to see her fathers parents. Maybe that was why she could speak english excellently as well as french. Her father's first language was english after all. Sometimes it was easier on him to speak in english - especially if he was having a bad day. As well as going to England practically every summer, Kez also had been to many other countries with her parents. Sienna seemed to go abroad a lot to work, so took the kids with her. Simple.
How are your parents, Freeman?
The sudden change of subject took Kerry by surprise, yet she remained as composed as ever. She ran a hand through her hair and frowned at what Claire had said. Why would she care how her parents were? Geez, their fathers h.ated each other, as what happened with their daughters. Surely Claire would ask something like "I hope your dad is ill" or something that didn't sound as lame. Various ideas ran through Kerry's mind, but nothing showed on the outside. Kez twirled her wand lightly through her fingers and then saw Claire's own wand out.
Not ill are they, all perfectly...safe?
'No freaking duh,' she breathed lightly, rolling her eyes at Claire. What was Miss Petrelli getting at? 'They're perfectly fine, thank-you,' Kerry responded, not even trying to be sarcastic this time. She wasn't going to waste energy on Claire Petrelli; that was never going to happen. Unless it was a duel, then she'd put all her energy into it.
I only ask out of interest. My father just mentioned them last time he wrote. Maybe its nothing. When was the last time you heard from your family, Kerry?
Kerry stood up also, her wand held tight in her hand, although it seemed like she holding it loosely. 'Get to your point, Petrelli,' Kez snarled slightly. The fact was, Kerry hadn't heard from her parents yet. But then she only ever got owls when her parents sent her some sweets - once a month - and when she sent an owl to them. Normally she'd have received an owl from them by now, but she wasn't worried, her mother was always busy and so was her father. However, she was becoming worried now.
