Welcome to Beauxbatons
Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité

Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons is the only magical school in France for witches and wizards. And one of the best at that. With a history going back over a thousand years, Beauxbatons is most defiantly a favourite for the younger generation. Ever since it was opened, the school has been for both genders despite some people calling it a female school.
This year promises new students, teachers, classes and much, much more! Quidditch, homework and house rivalry is just a tiny fraction of what goes on behinds Beauxbatons closed doors.

OOC~ This is the thread where someone finds out Sky is a werewolf and spreads it around the school.

Running hard. Breathe ragged. Got to get away from people. Skyer crashed through the long reeds and grass near the river. Although the moon was hidden by clouds, Sky could sense it's brightness serenading to the beats inside him. He couldn't bite anyone. He had to get away.

More running. The clouds were dispersing. Only a few more minutes and the battle would begin. Him and the Beast. Man vs Wolf. It was no question who would come out on top. Every month for 6 years, the wolf had won. There was no going to stop that now.
"You.......Can.......Win.....Sky!" He panted to himself. His legs were beginning to slow. He sluggishly raised his head to the sky, and saw the faintest glimmer of moonlight. "Here goes." Skyer murmured. The beast struck.

Howling with pain, Skyer fought within himself. A battle behind closed doors. The Wolf attacked, growled, bit and clawed, trying to escape. Skyer held it in, but for how much longer? He had started to weaken. Slowly, he drew ever nearer to succumbing to Lycanthropy.
"NO........" His scream was cut off as it turned into a howl. Sky looked down at his hands. Already, claws were slowly erupting out of his fingers, his hands beginning to turn into paws. He felt fangs creeping out of his mouth. He had nearly lost. Keep fighting! He roared inside his head.

Claire ran a hand through her blonde hair. Green eyes scanned the dark grounds. Technically she was breaking cerfew, she should've been in bed, but she just couldn't stand being so close to Kerry Freeman for that long. She could oftern be found in the grounds at night, not that anyone else was out there. It was so silent, she might as well not've been there. Her long coat kept the worst if the cold out, and helped with the vanishing into the background. It wasn't black, it was just dark green. Matching her eyes, almost. She sighed. It was a particually dull evening, most were in her experience, but this one especially. Nothing was moving, not even the wind. It was utterly silent. But beautiful. The moon was large and full, bathing her in light as she stood by the river. Her long hair was still down her back as she watched the reflection of the moon rippling under the surface.

It was silent, you could hear anything. A leaf drifting to the ground half a mile away. Claire raised her head, pulling her coat around her. It was getting cold, she should probably go back in, but she couldn't see herself facing Freeman again, she really hated that girl. Something broke through the silence. Claire turned, green eyes scanning for the source of the sound. She brushed her hair back from her face and stepped forward, looking through the reeds. There were trampel marks up around the bend of the river. She couldn't see a figure, but the footfalls told her there was definatly someone running away. Running away? From what? What was there at Beauxbaton to run away from? Suddenly incredibly interested, Claire followed, cautiously.

Her light footsteps were almost silent as she followed the path the mysterious figure had left. She glanced behind her as she walked up, quickening her step. She couldn't hear the pounding footsteps up ahead. Maybe they'd stopped? She kept glancing behind her, just incase someone else was following. Okay, that was good wasn't it, they'd stopped and no-one was following them. Except her. She put her hand into the pocket of her robe, feeling the long strip of wood that was her wand. It made most witches feel that little bit safer.

Her green eyes fell upon a figure. One that seemed to be in some discomfort. She took a step closer, suddenly realising she knew the figure, recognised him. She should do, she had a crush on Skyer.
"Sky?" She called, her voice cutting through the silence.
"Sky are you alright?"

Sky could feel his appearance altering further. His arms were becoming more hairy, his bones were changing shape, becoming canine. His face was elongating into a muzzle and his teeth were growing into razor sharp fangs. Your mine! And I'm never letting go! The wolf growled menacingly in his head. He looked down at himself in the river. He was at the exact moment when he was neither man nor beast, human or wolf. He was at the stage when he neither, and both.

The Full Moon shimmered on the rivers smooth surface.
"NO!" Sky roared pushing the wolf down. He became more human again. No you don't! It's my time! As you will weaken, I will get stronger! The wolf snarled. Pain erupted from his head. It was as if his brain was trying to break free from his skull. The pain was immense. Sky couldn't bare it. He sank to his knees, tears of pain escaping his eyes and slowly trickling down his now completely furry face.

He heard footsteps behind him.
Sky? Sky are you alright? The voice called. Who was that? Sky knew that voice. But he couldn't place it. He pictured the beast grinning.
Succumb boy! Give in, and the pain will stop! Give in! I wish to feast! it crooned.
"NO!" Sky shouted for the what seemed like the millionth time. Sky stood up and spun around. A girl was standing there, looking worried. Her face clicked. It was Claire.
"Claire! Get out of here! NOW!" Sky roared, his voice barely recognisable, it was almost a wolf's snarl. "Claire! I don't want to hurt you! Ple........." His last word was interrupted as another surge of pain swept over him.

Claire's green eyes watched with something that could've been horror or fright. More of interest. Okay, horrified interest, but interest all the same. With one hand leaning gently on the trunk of a nearby tree she stepped forward. She didn't know why she had her hand on the trunk of a tree, maybe safetly. Push off it if she had to run. She was a pretty quick runner, but nothing against a werewolf. She also shouldn't step towards it. But curiosity had taken over and she couldn't help it. The shout made her jump, but she swollowed her fear and took another step forward.
"Sky? Skyer Freeman, it's me, it's...it's Claire." She said, softly. He probably could hear her and decided not to answer, but it would make her feel better if he replied, to know he was alright. And c'mon, she couldn't just leave him here, obviously in pain. She just wanted to do something, to help.

As Sky sunk to his knees, Claire couldn't help herself. She ran the two and a half steps to his side. Crouching down beside him. She laid a hand on his shoulder, her bright eyes full of concern.
"C'mon Sky, tell me what happened." Why she had asked what had happened she didn't know. It must've just clicked that she thought it had just happened. Or wasn't that long ago.She was wrong, but didn't mean to be, her intentions were good. When he spun around, standing up. She was taken aback, but stood up herself, taking a step back. She swallowed again, keeping her breathing regular to keep her heartrate down. Panicking now wouldn't help her or Sky, would it now.

"Claire! Get out of here! NOW!"

His voice. No, that snarl. She took another step back, raising her head slightly. Yes, now she was afraid and didn't care about showing it.
"Sky, let me help, I'm not leaving you. Not like this." Her voice was wavering slightly as she brushed her hair out of her eyeline. Sky was considerably taller than her on a good day, she didn't doubt in wolf form, he'd be that much worse. The wind that was whipping through the trees caught her up, but she stood her ground. What sort of friend would she be if she didn't try to help.

"Claire! I don't want to hurt you! Ple........."

"Sky!" She almost shrieked. Oh very ladylike, shriek in the face of danger.
"I...I can look after myself, its all very nobel of you but...but you need someone to help!" She shouted back. Stupid thing to say under the circumstances, but it was the only thing that had come into her head on the spur of the moment.

Sky howled with pain as the wolf threw yet another assault of pain at him. He clutched his head in his hands (Well, they weren't hands anymore, they were a sick mix between hand a massive paw.) When they pain ebbed enough for him to regain control, he felt Claire's smooth hand on his shoulder. Sky gasped and threw himself away.
"Get Away!" He howled with fear. Was she insane? She should be running to the hills by now, not trying to help in the middle of a changing.

"This isn't recent! I was bitten 6 years ago. The Wolf is getting stronger every month!" Sky felt just a tiny bit relieved. His voice wasn't a snarl anymore. But for how much longer? He looked once again at his reflection. His new muzzle was shrinking back into his normal nose and mouth. Any minute now the Wolf would break free and take full control of him.

I...I can look after myself, its all very nobel of you but...but you need someone to help!

"Madness! Any minute I will turn into a giant Wolf Claire! It doesn't have any kindness! Just anger and hate, living only to kill! It will slaughter you! Please! I would never be able to live with myself if I attacked you, maybe even turn you into something as horrible as me! Please! For your safety, get out of here!" He cried.

Claire ran a hand through her long hair as Sky screeched in pain once more. What was she supposed to do? Run. Yes, she was supposed to run, that was the main idea when you come face to face with a morphing were-wolf. But she just wasn't like that. That was just going to be the death of her, wasn't it. She cared too much and didn't have enough sense to over come it. She needed to get away, but she couldn't leave Sky. Nothing was really going to happen him, it would be worse for her. She was the one in danger. Just too stupid to run. She needed to care less.

"This isn't recent! I was bitten 6 years ago. The Wolf is getting stronger every month!"

Six years? Thats a h.ell of a lot of months to get stronger, yet he was still fighting. Strong lad, eh? She swallowed. How long until the wolf took hold. How long was Sky in control. How long was she safe for. Minutes? Seconds? She couldn't tell. He was fighting to keep her safe, and here she was, making it harder. Take care of herself? Idiot. How was she supposed to take care of herself against a werewolf three times her size and twice as fast. Stop caring you twit! Yelled something in her head He'll be fine, he can take care of himself, you can't, not against that!. But there was something fighting back. He's your friend, you can't just leave him.. Dammit, she had a conscience. Okay, lets keep this between friends. She'd go, just not far? Alright?

"Madness! Any minute I will turn into a giant Wolf Claire! It doesn't have any kindness! Just anger and hate, living only to kill! It will slaughter you! Please! I would never be able to live with myself if I attacked you, maybe even turn you into something as horrible as me! Please! For your safety, get out of here!"

Her bright eyes were glittering with the start of tears. She took a deep breath and nodded, her long hair falling over her cheek.
"I'm not an idiot, Skyer, I'm not going to forget this, and you're not going through this alone every single month." She finished, turning on her heel and breaking into a run. She jumped the reeds that Sky had trampled and out of his line of sight around the bend in the river. Ohhkay. She thought to herself and she skidded around the corner in the river and up a steep inclimb. She could hear Sky's fight, but not see it. She sank down into the shadow of a dark beech tree. Obviously the Were-wolf would be able to smell her, but she hadn't thought of that, had she.

Skyer sighed with relief as Claire vanished into the night.
"Hopefully she won't be so stupid as to stick around." He murmured and looked back up at the moon. He was finally in cloud cover. He was protected for a few seconds more. He heard the wolf inside his head give a howl of rage.
It doesn't matter! I can change even with the moon covered! You wait and see! it snarled hatefully. Why does it hate me so? he thought, but it was stupid. He knew the answer to that.

Skyer was so full of good, the wolf so full of evil. The wolf was all that was bad in him. It wanted complete domination so it could kill more than just once a month. Another burst of pain shot through him as the clouds suddenly vanished, leaving a clear open sky. He could see the stars shining in the sky, but worst of all, the big round orb in the sky. Skyer's worst nightmare. The wolf roared with triumph and pushed forwards. Sky was so unprepared, so fully engrossed in the hypnotic spell of the moon he had forgotten to stay on the alert.

Sky hurried to look at his reflection. He was already morphing rapidly. Another blinding headache sent him flying backwards. A Howl so full of blood-lust sends shivers down my spine. But it's not my spine anymore. It's the Wolf's spine. It is now my time to sit at the back, doomed to watch the carnage that is sure to ensue. The wolf looks down at itself. Just as I remember, it is just like any normal looking wolf, Apart from the fact it is 2 times larger than a normal man. The wolf howls to the moon, and pounds off into t he darkness.

Claire sat with her back to the howling, green eyes lightly closed. Her long blonde hair was a complete mess, full of twigs and leaves that she was currantly sitting in. The only view she had managed to get of Sky, before a sharp wind had obscured it again, was a glance of Sky. He was simply looking up at the sky. Picturesk, if she hadn't been so terrified. She was Fifteen and a complete idiot. Who actually stands around in the open whilst a werewolf is hanging around in the grounds. Claire Petrelli. That d**ned caring streak, or was it the thrill seeker in her. No, at least Thrill seekers had sense, she had none, she was just there. Caring, like curiosity, kills more a year than anything else. She let out a breath. Okay, she needed to get back to the castle, she hadn't lost that much time sitting there. Maybe a minute or two. Even if she had just run, would she have been able to outrun the werewolf anyway. Maybe, since it had already run off, she might be able to sneak back to the castle unseen.

Claire crawled out of the undergrowth and stood up, looking around. The moon was silver, casting an eerie shadow on the grounds. She couldn't see Sky, or the Wolf, anywhere, or hear it. She took a deep breath and broke into a run, sprinting through the light and into the shadows. Her pouning footsteps echoed around the empty grounds, her green eyes always keeping an eye out for any sign of Sky. Her long hair fluttered out behind her, a golden change of colour in the silver landscape. Before her, she could see the lights of the school, behind her, the rush of the river was fading to a gentle roar. The question that had been bouncign around in her head. Should she tell someone, or keep it a secret? Did anyone else know? She shook off the thoughts until she could see the whole school.

She slowed to a walk, catching her breath. Okay sprinting for a full five minutes does take the sir out of your longs. However, she didn't stop, she kept up a quick stepped walk. She glanced behind her as she entered the shadow of a small gathering of trees. She brushed her long hair out of her eyes, she'd definatly heard a sound of a twig cracking, and it hadn't been her. She swallowed, turning back to the castle just as a shadow fell over her. She halted, staying as still as possible. She didn't know what it was, but it sounded heavy and it definatly had four paws. She didn't look around, just incase it was the wolf. It could've been a Unicorn or something else that lived in the woods and fields of Beauxbaton, but she wasn't going to risk it. She kept her breathing as quiet as possible, hoping the large looming shadow would pass. And keeping your breathing down when your terrified, alone and out of breath isn't an easy task.

The wolf bounded over the fields, ecstatic at it's release from it's humanly body. It yipped and barked as it felt it's paws running against the ground again. It raised it's head and howled to the bright orb in the sky, relishing the power it got from the moon. It ran across the grounds towards the castle, flesh blood fresh on its nose. It could almost taste the salty liquid.

Skyer sat hunched in a corner deep within himself, trying to forget this nightmare. He hated being a werewolf with a burning passion. But there was no way to reverse lycanthropy. Once you were bitten, you were stuck with it. He looked out through the wolf's eyes and saw grass blurring behind it as it ran. He looked at the small cluster of trees the wolf was now heading to. What had it smelled? Sky hoped that it was not Claire,

The wolf had a scent. It was in a cluster of trees just off to the side of the castle. It crept into the trees, stalking it's prey. The girl was in here somewhere. It could smell her. With it's perfect night vision, finding the girl was no problem. He crept up behind her and opened it's jaws wide.

Sky's eyes grew wide with fear. No You Don't! he roared and threw himself against his prison. Well, his mind did. His body was the wolf. The wolf grunted with pain and fell to the side. Skyer looked upo
with the Wolf's eyes to the moon. It was fading slightly as dawn approached. He had to keep the beats away from Claire.
"RUN!" He barked as the wolf struggled against Sky's will-power.
